I’ll just say it: I love GOOP. No matter what crazy articles Gwyneth Paltrow posts (hello, conscious uncoupling), no matter what the critics say, I’ve always looked up to GP and admired her determination, self-confidence, and of course, her looks. I follow her travel tips. I’ve bought her cook book. I see (and love) all of her movies. And I’ve always wondered what it would be like to live like the willowy star.
All the press about Mortdecai got me thinking – what would it really be like to live like Gwyneth Paltrow? Could I even do it? Or afford it? And I knew I just had to finally give it a try.
So, starting tomorrow, in honor of the release of Mordecai this week, for the next month I am going to transform my rituals to those of GP. I’ll eat like her, exercise like her (mostly, I love ClassPass too much to give it up), I’ll even try some of her crazy suggestions. Tantra, anyone (eh, on second thought…)? And throughout the process I’ll report back and share what worked, what didn’t, what was easy, and what was miserably hard.
Tonight I sleep, tomorrow I dine on a delicious mostly coffee-, alcohol-, dairy-, egg-, sugar-, shellfish-, nightshade-, corn-, wheat-, soy-free diet!
